The worktop is the part you use the most: it is exposed to direct sunlight in the summer, rain and frost in the winter, and it is where you cut meat or place hot pans and grill grates. In short, the worktop has to endure a lot, which is all the more reason to choose a material that is highly resistant to it.
We therefore work with two brands that guarantee quality for outdoor use: Dekton and Florim (with the exception of Neolith). These brands fit perfectly with the Roostr vision: made for long-term use, truly suitable for the outdoors, and resistant to all elements.

Properties of our worktops
Why is the choice of outdoor worktop so important? The worktop must survive all weather conditions. A good worktop prevents discoloration, cracking, and maintenance problems in the long term.
Waterproof/frost-resistant
Resistant to moisture, snow, hail and frost, these are what the worktops are made for.
Heat-resistant
Dekton has very high UV and heat resistance up to 250 °C, feel free to place a hot grill pan on your worktop, please note: no pizza stone, these get hotter!
Scratch-resistant
Cutting or sliding: an outdoor kitchen is a utility item and must be able to withstand that. This worktop is scratch-resistant.
UV-resistant
Years in direct sunlight, without fading or weathering. Perfect for outdoor use.

Frequently asked Questions
Can a countertop be used outside?
Your outdoor kitchen worktop must be able to withstand various weather conditions. After all, it would be a shame to discover a large crack in the surface after a cold spell. Therefore, choose a kitchen worktop that can withstand UV radiation, frost and thaw. The worktops from Dekton or Florim are very suitable.
Which countertop is heat resistant?
For the most heat-resistant countertops, it is best to choose granite, dekton, stainless steel or concrete. Composite is also very heat-resistant, but sensitive to discolouration. Ceramic is an excellent choice, with a heat resistance of up to 450 degrees Celsius.
Can Dekton be used outdoors?
Dekton® is specially developed for both indoor and outdoor applications, and for wet areas. Thanks to its excellent physical and mechanical properties, this product can be used safely and reliably in outdoor environments, interiors, and wet areas such as swimming pools and spas.
Does the worktop discolour in the sun?
No. UV resistance is one of the core properties of composite worktops like Dekton and Florim. They do not discolour — one of the major advantages over natural stone.
What is the difference between Dekton and Florim?
Technically, both are similar (heat-resistant up to 250°C, UV/frost/scratch-resistant). Dekton is Roostr's main product line and is available for all models. Florim is available for the Allure with unique options such as vein matching (veins that continue along the side) and glossy or matte finishes.
Can I replace the countertop later?
Yes, modularity is a core principle of Roostr. If you get tired of your current choice in a few years' time, you can have a different worktop installed without replacing the rest of your kitchen. This only applies to our modular Rubix model.
What is the disadvantage of Dekton?
In reality, Dekton has hardly any disadvantages in use. It is resistant to scratches, heat, and moisture, and remains beautiful even after years of being outdoors. You do not have to worry about discoloration, damage from a hot pan, or frost damage in the winter.
The only real drawback is the price: Dekton is somewhat more expensive than other countertop options. But considering how little maintenance it requires and how long it lasts, that investment more than pays for itself in the long run.
What is the best countertop for an outdoor kitchen?
Florim and Dekton are the best choices for outdoor use. Both are extremely heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and UV-stable, meaning they will not discolor in the sun or suffer damage from a hot pan or griddle. They are also frost-resistant, so you do not have to worry about cracks or discoloration after a winter outdoors. That is precisely why Roostr works exclusively with ceramic and Dekton, and for Allure also with Florim: they are the only materials that will last just as long as the rest of your outdoor kitchen.
